Who we are
We are Maria and Jim Bob DoByns. My husband and I started our miniature donkey business, Brays and Brews, in 2025, so that we could bring our love of donkeys to people all over Texas.
Brays And Brews provides Beverage Burros for special events. We are certified TABC, and can attend any event you'd like us at. Our beverage burros can bring that special fun, rustic feel to your event.
We also offer miniature donkey hikes. Our donkey hikes are a ton of fun for any and everyone! From family fun to corporate team building!
What we do
Add a fun and memorable aspect to your special event. Donkeys arrive about an hour before your event dressed to the nines with floral arrangements to coordinate with your colors. You supply the beverages & ice or other pack contents. Beverages and ice are added to the donkey packs.
Each donkey is accompanied by a TABC certified handler, who hands drinks to guests from the donkey’s pack saddle & helps pose the donkeys for photos. Donkeys circulate amongst the guests, allowing for wonderful interaction and photos for about an hour to an hour and a half. Donkeys are equipped with discreet “bun bags” in case of accidents.
Hike with donkeys through Texas Big Country on our 160 acre Yellowhorse Ranch! Our ranch is located 1 hour north of Abilene, Texas. Hikes range from easy to moderate through varied terrain & Texas vegetation.
Donkeys carry beverages and your provided snacks in their pack saddles for your hike. Hikes can accommodate up to 6 persons. Guests have an opportunity to interact with and lead the donkeys on a memorable hike through beautiful ranch country. On your hike, you may encounter our longhorn & Scottish Highland cattle, deer, coyotes, roadrunners, and other wildlife!
